Last night Cathy and I went to Jayne James’ Connection Group and we had a great time. I left once again thinking that this is how church ought to be. We ate together, studied God’s Word together, prayed together, laughed together, and cried together. The key word is together. Life was not meant to be done alone. God has given us friends to do life with, to help us grow. I thought last week that if I could give every believer three priorities to grow in the faith, what would they be? I came up with:
1) Pray
2) Read
3) Relate
If every believer spent time in prayer, communicating with God, and spent time reading and studying the Bible, and relating with other Christians, they would grow. The Holy Spirit would use those disciplines to develop their faith.
I encourage you to pray, read, and relate and if you are not a member of a Connection Group, get involved this week.
