I received a letter today from a pastor whose son in serving in the military. He is in the Navy and is stationed on a ship in the middle east. I cannot imagine what that must be like. I am dreading sending my sons to Bible School six hours away. What would it be like to send your child to war? I hope I never know.
This reminded me to pray for our men and women serving in the military, especially those in harms way.
Some have asked if we are going to go anything for those hurt by the storm in Myanmar. I received this fax today from AGWM. It said "the damage is of tsunami proportions with unconfirmed estimates of 20,000 to 50,000 people dead, another 40,000 unaccounted for, and 3 million people displaced from their homes."
We are going to take a love offering for them on May 25. It will go to the disaster relief agency "Convoy of Hope." One hundred percent of the money raised will go to relief. Pray about what God would have you to give.
