It is so good to be home. Cathy and I had a great time at Missionary renewal/school of missions. I always learn a lot. Thursday night was the commissioning service. I always cry. We commissioned over 80 missionary families that were going to 31 countries. This is amazing. Many missions organizations are taking missionaries off the field because of a lack of finances but the A/G is sending over 80 units. It is truly a testimony of the grace and faithfulness of God. It is always emotional watching the missionary candidates say good bye to families and prepare to leave the country. They have a higher calling.
The best part for Cathy and I is the time we get to spend with some special people. Many times we have asked each other, "how did we get invited to this room?" We hope some of their anointing rubs off on us. They are great people. I know this sounds funny but they are so nice. I think you would expect that but I have not met one person that has not treated us well. There are no airs or people who act better than you. It really is a family.
We got to spend time with Charles. We took him out to eat a lot. Wednesday night he ate one of the biggest steaks I have ever seen! He ate it all and a salad and most of the appetizer. It was good to see him.
