John 6:35 “Jesus replied, I am the bread of life. No one who comes to me will ever be hungry again. Those who believe in me will never thirst.”
Observation
Jesus is the bread of life. He is the manna from heaven. Jesus said that it is possible for us to never be hungry again and to never thirst. How?
1) Come to Jesus
2) Believe in Jesus
When we come to Jesus in faith he will satisfy us. He will satisfy our spiritual hunger and thirst. There is a void inside of us all that only Jesus can fill. People look to all kings of things to fulfill that void. They look at pleasure, sex, relationships, money, fame, power, alcohol, drugs, etc. They are trying to fill the spiritual hunger and thirst but only Jesus can fill it.
Application
This is a great promise. If I come to Jesus in faith this morning He will satisfy me. He will fulfill the hunger and thirst within me. I love it that Jesus made it so simple. I don’t have to earn or purchase my answer, it is a gift. I simply go to Jesus. I believe in Jesus. He satisfies me. He fills me. He quenches my thirst. He is my satisfaction.
Prayer
Jesus I love you. I come to you this morning believing that you are the Son of God. You are the king of kings. You are the savior of the world. You are my Jesus. I believe in you. I pledge my allegiance to you. I love you so much. I know that by coming to you I will be satisfied. The longings of my heart will be fulfilled. You are a great God. Thank you. I love you.
